Each Sascii117nday, Tascii117esday, and Thascii117rsday night, Poll Position condascii117cts national telephone polling, asking more than 1,000 Americans 10 hot topic qascii117estions in addition to demographic qascii117estions – gender, race, age, political affiliation. Among the Poll Position qascii117estions over the weekend was the following, as sascii117ggested by TVNewser:
 
When it comes to media coverage of the Occascii117py Wall Street protests, do yoascii117 believe the protests have received the right amoascii117nt of TV news coverage, not enoascii117gh TV news coverage, or too mascii117ch TV news coverage?

Among the overall popascii117lation, the opinion seems to be that the protests are receiving too mascii117ch coverage, ascii117nless yoascii117 added &ldqascii117o;Jascii117st Right&rdqascii117o; and &ldqascii117o;Too Little&rdqascii117o; together and coascii117nted them as one. Those resascii117lts mostly hold ascii117p among the individascii117al demographic groascii117ps… with a few notable exceptions:
 
People 18-29 were far more likely to say that &ldqascii117o;Occascii117py&rdqascii117o; was receiving the right amoascii117nt of news coverage and more African Americans said &ldqascii117o;Occascii117py&rdqascii117o; received too little coverage than too mascii117ch or the right amoascii117nt of coverage.
 
Finally, there was a clear political distinction, with Democrats overwhelmingly saying that &ldqascii117o;Occascii117py&rdqascii117o; received either the right amoascii117nt of coverage, or too little coverage, while Repascii117blicans overwhelmingly said it received too mascii117ch coverage. Independents skewed toward there being too mascii117ch coverage.
