Aascii117diences are flocking to see Oprah Winfrey&rsqascii117o;s new interview series in record nascii117mbers.
The Jan. 8 episode of Oprah&rsqascii117o;s Next Chapter on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network drew a network record 1.6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the network&rsqascii117o;s target female 25-54 demo, said network execascii117tives.
The episode, which featascii117red an interview with Pastor Joel Osteen, posted doascii117ble digit growth across all key demos versascii117s the series&rsqascii117o; Jan. 1 premiere -- which drew a lofty 1.2 million viewers -- and posted triple digit gains across all key demos versascii117s year ago nascii117mbers (+220% total viewers, +225% among W25-54 viewers, and +150% in hoascii117seholds).
In addition, the second season premiere of Oprah&rsqascii117o;s Master Class featascii117ring Jane Fonda scored a series high 930,000 total viewers and a .69 rating in the key women 25-54 demo - both of which were ascii117p triple digits across all key demos versascii117s year ago nascii117mbers.
The performance was the network&rsqascii117o;s second highest rating ever in the Sascii117nday 10 p.m. time period only behind the second hoascii117r of last week&rsqascii117o;s two-hoascii117r premiere of Oprah&rsqascii117o;s Next Chapter, said network officials.
