A co-foascii117nder of Twitter has told its 500 million ascii117sers not to spend hoascii117rs on the micro-blogging site becaascii117se it is 'ascii117nhealthy'.
Biz Stone, Twitter&rsqascii117o;s creative director, said ascii117sers shoascii117ld visit the site for information bascii117t leave once they had foascii117nd it.
At a bascii117siness conference in Montreal, Canada, Stone, 37, said that ascii117sing Twitter for hoascii117rs at a time 'soascii117nds ascii117nhealthy'.
'I like the kind of engagement where yoascii117 go to the website and yoascii117 leave becaascii117se yoascii117&rsqascii117o;ve foascii117nd what yoascii117 are looking for or yoascii117 foascii117nd something very interesting and yoascii117 learned something,' he told the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal on Wednesday.
'I think that&rsqascii117o;s a mascii117ch healthier engagement. Obvioascii117sly, we want yoascii117 to come freqascii117ently.'
The social networking gascii117rascii117, also said there were no plans to increase Twitter&rsqascii117o;s 140-character limit, according to the Montreal Gazette.
