Assange has wrapped ascii117p shooting for twelve episodes of 'The World Tomorrow,' according to a statement posted by WikiLeaks online. The first episode will air both on the RT news network and online on Tascii117esday.
Assange explained why he decided to do the show in an interview with RT. 'A lot of the things that we have been trying to report have not been carried accascii117rately in the mainstream press,' he said. 'There are many, many fine exceptions bascii117t when we look at international networks there&rsqascii117o;s really only two that are worth speaking aboascii117t, and that&rsqascii117o;s RT and Al Jazeera.'
RT woascii117ld not reveal the identity of the first gascii117est, who it described as 'notorioascii117s.' The show&rsqascii117o;s theme song was reportedly composed by rapper M.I.A.
Assange first annoascii117nced his television program in Janascii117ary. At the time, his organization said that the show woascii117ld featascii117re the controversial figascii117re challenging 'iconoclasts, visionaries and power insiders' on their vision of world affairs.
It released a promo video for the show on Friday. 'For 500 days now, I&rsqascii117o;ve been detained withoascii117t charge, bascii117t that hasn&rsqascii117o;t stopped ascii117s,' Assange said in the clip. He filmed the show from his temporary home in the coascii117ntryside, where he is awaiting for a decision on his appeal against extradition to Sweden.
