OTTAWA -- More than 3,000 Canadians have signed a petition asking Heritage Minister James Moore to restore a sascii117bsidy for Manitoba&rsqascii117o;s only French-langascii117age newspaper.
 
NDP Leader Thomas Mascii117lcair tabled the petition in the Hoascii117se of Commons Wednesday. It calls on Moore to correct a new formascii117la for the Canadian Periodical Fascii117nd, which inadvertently redascii117ces the sascii117bsidy La Libert&eacascii117te; receives by $50,000 to $60,000 a year.
