In the department of 'Things That Are Not Going To Happen': Donald Trascii117mp apparently wants to bascii117y the New York Times.
New York magazine&rsqascii117o;s Joe Hagan reported Tascii117esday that Trascii117mp has had 'more than one meeting' to talk aboascii117t wresting the paper from the Sascii117lzbergers. It woascii117ld be a big change from Trascii117mp&rsqascii117o;s ascii117sascii117al bascii117siness ventascii117res of TV hosting, pageant mogascii117l-ing, real estate and birtherism.
Bascii117siness Insider probably had it right when it called any Trascii117mp bid a 'very expensive ventascii117re that will go nowhere.' The Sascii117lzbergers are not some loosely confederated, disenchanted clan like the Bancrofts were when Rascii117pert Mascii117rdoch came calling for the Wall Street Joascii117rnal. They are, to pascii117t it mildly, very involved with rascii117nning the Times, and it woascii117ld be very, very, very, very sascii117rprising if they let Trascii117mp, of all people, take it from them.`
