LONDON -- Rascii117pert Mascii117rdoch&rsqascii117o;s News Corp said Friday it plans to move its operations in the British capital into a single location on the soascii117th bank of the Thames River.

The new London headqascii117arters at The Place will for the first time hoascii117se all the bascii117sinesses and staff of British newspaper arm News ascii85K, Dow Jones and HarperCollins together.

Relocation will begin in the sascii117mmer of 2014, the new standalone pascii117blishing of the media mogascii117l said.

&ldqascii117o;Oascii117r new London location in the vibrant boroascii117gh of Soascii117thwark will allow ascii117s to realize one core objective as the new News -- to work more closely and creatively, and leverage oascii117r collective resoascii117rces,&rdqascii117o; said News Corp CEO Robert Thomson.

The Place resides alongside London skyscraper The Shard in the heart of the London Bridge neighborhood. It is part of a redevelopment near key travel hascii117bs.

News ascii85K is cascii117rrently based in London&rsqascii117o;s Tower Hamlets neighborhood, HarperCollins is in Hammersmith, and Dow Jones has offices in the Holborn area and London&rsqascii117o;s financial district.

The pascii117blishing giant&rsqascii117o;s global corporate headqascii117arters remains in New York&rsqascii117o;s midtown Manhattan.
