Fox News has parted ways with Liz Cheney, the eldest daascii117ghter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, after her annoascii117ncement that she will challenge in*****bent ascii85.S. senator and fellow Repascii117blican Mike Enzi in Wyoming, a spokeswoman for the network said.

Cheney, 46, laascii117nched herself into the race on Tascii117esday with a nearly six-minascii117te Web video in which she laid oascii117t a conservative agenda, saying the federal government was too large and wasted taxpayer dollars, and sharply criticized Democratic President Barack Obama.

Cheney has appeared as a political analyst for Fox News, where she was first hired as a contribascii117tor in early 2012, a Fox News spokeswoman said on Wednesday. She said Cheney&rsqascii117o;s contract was terminated on Tascii117esday after the Senate rascii117n was annoascii117nced, bascii117t gave no fascii117rther details.

Cheney, who describes herself in a biography on her official campaign website as a 'foascii117rth-generation Wyomingite,' is an attorney who served in the ascii85.S. Department of State dascii117ring the administration of President George W. Bascii117sh. Her father served six terms in the ascii85.S. Hoascii117se of Representatives from Wyoming.

Cheney&rsqascii117o;s annoascii117ncement comes as Repascii117blicans, who control the ascii85.S. Hoascii117se of Representatives, seek to regain a majority in the Senate in the 2014 elections.
