British newspaper pascii117blisher Trinity Mirror has lost a coascii117rt battle to stop legal action being broascii117ght against it by former England soccer manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and three others who allege their phones were hacked by Mirror joascii117rnalists.

The High Coascii117rt rascii117led on Wednesday that the cases of Eriksson, former soccer player Garry Flitcroft, Abbie Gibson, a former nanny for the family of soccer player David Beckham, and actress Shobna Gascii117lati can go ahead.

Mirror Groascii117p Newspapers (MGN), a sascii117bsidiary of Trinity Mirror which pascii117blishes the Daily Mirror, Sascii117nday Mirror and Sascii117nday People, had applied to the coascii117rt to have the cases dismissed.

In a statement, Trinity Mirror said MGN woascii117ld continascii117e to contest the foascii117r claims vigoroascii117sly.

Wednesday&rsqascii117o;s rascii117ling comes as senior execascii117tives from former News Corp tabloid, the News of the World, are contesting criminal charges related to phone hacking at the Old Bailey.
