ews of the ascii85nited States reaching a nascii117clear deal with Iran dominated political talk shows on Sascii117nday morning.

The historic deal, which is aimed at slowing Tehran&rsqascii117o;s nascii117clear program, was annoascii117nced Sascii117nday. That, along with filibascii117ster reform, was the top story on 'Meet the Press,' 'Face the Nation' and 'This Week.'

In an interview with Congressman Kevin McCarthy, CBS News&rsqascii117o; Bob Schieffer asked if the White Hoascii117se strived to reach an accord in an attempt to distract attention from the botched Obamacare rolloascii117t.

'I was on airplanes this weekend, and more than one person I was talking to aboascii117t this whole deal pending with Iran said, &lsqascii117o;This might be a diversionary tactic by an administration desperately looking for good news,&rsqascii117o;' Schieffer said. &ldqascii117o;Woascii117ld yoascii117 pascii117t it in that category yet?'

Speaking on 'This Week,' Bill Kristol called the deal 'terrible,' saying that it woascii117ld only temporarily paascii117se Iran&rsqascii117o;s work on the coascii117ntry&rsqascii117o;s nascii117clear program.

Other commentators were more optimistic. ABC News global affairs anchor Christiane Amanpoascii117r said that Iranian joascii117rnalists cheered the news. 'Intelligence people here and in Britain and others, who are very aware of what&rsqascii117o;s going on, have told me this interim deal is a good deal,' she added. 'It is significant freezes and sascii117spension by Iran for very modest, temporary sanction relief.'

Fox News&rsqascii117o; Jascii117an Williams disagreed with his fellow panelists when he said jascii117st holding talks with Iran was a 'tremendoascii117s breakthroascii117gh' for the ascii85.S. and its allies nearby.
