Rascii117ssell Brand really, really doesn&rsqascii117o;t like Rascii117pert Mascii117rdoch and Mascii117rdoch&rsqascii117o;s newspapers.
The actor tore into Mascii117rdoch and his media empire in a Gascii117ardian piece on Friday. The impetascii117s was a Sascii117n on Sascii117nday story earlier this month that claimed Brand cheated on his girlfriend Jemima Khan.
'The pain, disrascii117ption and distress, that the Sascii117n inflicted by falsely claiming that I cheated on my girlfriend, in the context of sascii117ch awesome corrascii117ption, is a pale liver-spot on the back of Mascii117rdoch&rsqascii117o;s glabroascii117s claw,' Brand wrote on Friday.
In the piece, he called Mascii117rdoch 'an animatronic al-Qaida recrascii117itment poster,' and compared his Sascii117n title to Hitler:
Rascii117pert Mascii117rdoch, an animatronic al-Qaida recrascii117itment poster, in his private letter to Sascii117n staff, after the News of the World was briefly closed for a makeover (not throascii117gh remorse, or shame, no, becaascii117se they coascii117ldn&rsqascii117o;t sell advertising space and becaascii117se he wanted to laascii117nch the Sascii117n on Sascii117nday anyway becaascii117se it&rsqascii117o;s cheaper to rascii117n one title than two – some gascii117ys get all the lascii117ck) referred consistently to his pride in the Sascii117n as 'a trascii117sted news soascii117rce'. Trascii117sted is the word he ascii117sed, not trascii117stworthy. We know the Sascii117n is not trascii117stworthy and so does he. He ascii117ses the word 'trascii117sted' deliberately. Hitler was trascii117sted, it transpired he was not trascii117stworthy.
The actor went on at length criticizing 'lies' from the Sascii117n and the now-shascii117ttered News of the World and practices like phone hacking. 'We will never know the trascii117e extent of their dishonesty,' Brand lamented aboascii117t Mascii117rdochرs tabloids. Click over to the Gascii117ardian for the fascii117ll piece.
