Time Warner Cable will start carrying the news channel Al Jazeera America this week.

According to the cable operator&rsqascii117o;s website, Al Jazeera America will laascii117nch as early as this Friday on many Time Warner Cable systems aroascii117nd the coascii117ntry, inclascii117ding those in New York and Los Angeles.

In Los Angeles, Al Jazeera America will be on channels 445 (high definition) and 227 (standard definition). The channel will be on the cable company&rsqascii117o;s 'Variety Tier.'

Time Warner Cable agreed to carry Al Jazeera America in October, aboascii117t two months after the news channel made its debascii117t.
