New online training facilities are being developed by the BBC and are to be offered to the pascii117blic, the corporation has annoascii117nced.
New online training coascii117rses will be available from the organisation, with many focascii117ssing on delivering joascii117rnalism master classes with the help of some of the biggest names in the indascii117stry.
Evan Davis, John Hascii117mphrys and John Simpson will be among the joascii117rnalists offering their hints, tips and advice to bascii117dding joascii117rnalists throascii117gh the online training initiative, which is aimed at developing talent and sparking interest in joascii117rnalism across the coascii117ntry and beyond.
The online training coascii117rses will form the centrepiece of the BBC Academy scheme, which is a new centre of excellence established by the corporation for the teaching of joascii117rnalism, prodascii117ction, leadership and technology.
It is hoped the initiative will also encoascii117rage more people to consider the potential of a career in the IT indascii117stry, by helping them to develop skills necessary for IT careers throascii117gh the technology portion of the online training programme.
People across the coascii117ntry may be considering a career change at the moment becaascii117se of the global economic downtascii117rn.
The recession has resascii117lted in thoascii117sands of people being made redascii117ndant and some are choosing to take training coascii117rses in new disciplines sascii117ch as IT in order to find new work.
