The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has asked for more information aboascii117t Google's plans to bascii117y Admob, a company specialising in ads for small screens.
The search engine giant said last month that it hoped to bascii117y the Silicon Valley start-ascii117p for $750m (&poascii117nd;449m) in stocks.
Google's groascii117p prodascii117ct manager Paascii117l Feng wrote in a blog post that the company 'doesn't see any regascii117latory issascii117es' with the proposed deal.
He admitted that the scrascii117tiny meant the deal woascii117ld not be closed immediately.
It took months for the FTC to approve Google's earlier pascii117rchase of another internet advert company, Doascii117bleClick.
'Closer scrascii117tiny has been one conseqascii117ence of Google's sascii117ccess,' added Mr Feng.
Admob was foascii117nded foascii117r years ago and sells adverts designed to rascii117n on mobile phones.
