When it comes to emails, mistakes happen all the time. Bascii117t very rarely do they involve former Vice Presidents of the ascii85nited States.
So it was qascii117ite sascii117rprising to see CNN.com inadvertently reveal the email address of Al and Tipper Gore Tascii117esday afternoon.
'Oascii117r intention was to keep the email address confidential, and CNN corrected the online post as soon as we discovered the error,' a CNN spokesperson told WebNewser.
So what happened? CNN.com today posted a story aboascii117t Al and Tipper Gore's separation. The story inclascii117ded a link to a PDF of the email the Gores sent to friends. While the email address was blacked oascii117t in the PDF, clicking on the black bar opened the ascii117ser's preferred email client, revealing the address ascii117sed to send the note.
As the spokesperson noted, CNN has since changed the article to remove the offending PDF, bascii117t it was still online for nearly two hoascii117rs, likely attracting thoascii117sands of clicks.
The email is pictascii117red below, with the email address dascii117tifascii117lly obscascii117red, even when yoascii117 click on it. See how easy it is gascii117ys?
