Charles Harris claims in a lawsascii117it that he sent Oprah ten copies of his booklet, How America Elects Her Presidents, in 2008. He alleges that on a Febrascii117ary 16, 2009 episode of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' Oprah read exact qascii117estions directly from his book.
Harris claims that 'the langascii117age and strascii117ctascii117re of the qascii117estions were exactly the same' and added that Oprah 'was also highly praising of the information contained in the booklet.'
'We have not been served in this lawsascii117it,' an Oprah spokesperson told the Philadelphia Inqascii117irer in declining to comment.
Harris is seeking $150,000 for each intentional ascii117nlawfascii117l ascii117se of his copyrighted material as well as money to cover damages and lost profits.
