The Iranian state-run media has broadcast a doc-umentary where a woman who has been sentenced to death by stoning for adultery apparently confesses to the crime and reconstructs her alleged role in her husband s murder.

Iran has faced strong international criticism since Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani was given the death sentence.

The doc-umentary did not say whether the sentence will be carried out.

The Iranian government says the case is still going through the legal system and her life may be saved.
