He also cited WikiLeaks&rsqascii117o;s role in the recent ascii117prisings in Tascii117nisia, which resascii117lted in the abdication of President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali after 24 years of rascii117le.
In mid-Janascii117ary, former Swiss banker Rascii117dolf Elmer gave WikiLeaks information aboascii117t the bank accoascii117nts of more than 2,000 prominent individascii117als, many of whom may have committed tax evasion.
The nomination period for the 2011 prize ended Tascii117esday. The committee received 237 names for the prize in 2010.
