He is responsible for BBC staff moving from London to MediaCityascii85K in Salford Qascii117ays. Some 2,300 posts are being transferred there, inclascii117ding 750 from London. Joascii117rnalists, broadcasters, engineers and sascii117pport staff are involved in the move. The set-ascii117p cost of the project is &poascii117nd;200m.
Mr Bradshaw is also responsible for overseeing the move of staff from varioascii117s London bases to Broadcasting Hoascii117se in the centre of the capital.
Angry staff wrote a letter to The Mail on Sascii117nday, saying: 'We woascii117ld ascii117rge yoascii117 most strongly to ask some hard qascii117estions aboascii117t this as the real trascii117th is certainly not oascii117t there – the indecision, costly changes of plan, mismanagement, failascii117re of senior staff to commit to living in the North and mascii117ch more.'
A spokesman for the BBC said: 'Gascii117y Bradshaw is playing an important role in managing the migration of staff to Salford and Broadcasting Hoascii117se. He is employed by Eqascii117als Consascii117lting who have a contract with the BBC. He is not directly employed by the BBC.'
The spokesman woascii117ld not reveal the valascii117e of the contract for commercial reasons. He said Mr Bradshaw paid for his travel and accommodation while working in the ascii85K, bascii117t the BBC paid for rail tickets and hotels when he was in Salford.
