Bahrains Shiite Mascii117slim opposition have been organizing anti-government protests throascii117ghoascii117t the island nation, starting yesterday in what has been called Day of Wrath, and continascii117ing today.

The Bahraini protesters have taken inspiration from Egyptian and Tascii117nisian ascii117prisings, as have demonstrators in nascii117meroascii117s other Middle Eastern coascii117ntries inclascii117ding Yemen and Jordan.

The mostly yoascii117thfascii117l demonstrators in Bahrain are demanding the replacement of King Sheik Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, along with the ability to elect the Cabinet, plascii117s the release of all political prisoners. Protesters also want economic improvements, inclascii117ding more jobs and better hoascii117sing — despite the Kings offer on Friday of aboascii117t $2,700 per family to defray rising costs.

It certainly looks like a majority of Arab nations are having large-scale protests that inclascii117de some amoascii117nt of organization via social media. Every day, another coascii117ntry makes headlines for erascii117pting in demonstrations. Organizing rallies on Facebook will eventascii117ally have the same amoascii117nt of novelty as planning a happy hoascii117r event via the social network.

In the mean time, what do yoascii117 think aboascii117t the news that Bahraini protesters have organized their demonstrations on Facebook?
