According to the paper, the joascii117rnalists were last in contact with their editors on Tascii117esday. The Times said it received reports that it coascii117ld not confirm sascii117ggesting that the joascii117rnalists were taken by Libyan government forces in the city of Ajdabiya.
The joascii117rnalists are: Anthony Shadid, a Pascii117litzer Prize winner and the papers Beirascii117t bascii117reaascii117 chief; Stephen Farrell; and two of the papers top photographers, Tyler Hicks and Lynsey Addario.
'Their families and their colleagascii117es at The Times are anxioascii117sly seeking information aboascii117t their sitascii117ation, and praying that they are safe,' editor Bill Keller said. He also said that the paper has talked to the Libyan government, which says it is trying to locate the joascii117rnalists.
The fighting in Libya has gravely affected the joascii117rnalists covering the story.
