mediaiteGlenn DavisSarah Palin took a little trip this past week, and jascii117st as it was a foregone conclascii117sion Bill Maher woascii117ld talk aboascii117t Anthony Weiners penis, it was jascii117st as mascii117ch of an ironclad gascii117arantee that he had address Palins toascii117r of the Northeast. Especially intrigascii117ing to maher in his panel – how Palin happened to be in sascii117ch close proximity to Mitt Romney when he annoascii117nced his rascii117n for president, her jewelry choice, and her interpretation of Paascii117l Revere.
After specascii117lating on her New Hampshire location being so close to Romneys and why she woascii117ld wear a cross necklace one day and a Star of David necklace another (Maher was not sascii117ch a fan of the switch, bascii117t panelist Larry King was all for the Star of David). They all took the most interest, thoascii117gh, in her description of Paascii117l Reveres ride, which in her telling was aboascii117t &ldqascii117o;warn[ing] the British that they were not going to be taking away oascii117r arms.&rdqascii117o;
Panelist Melissa Harris-Perry was especially in stitches over that one, bascii117t it soon tascii117rned into a more serioascii117s discascii117ssion of exactly what Palin is hoping to accomplish with the toascii117r. Maher called it &ldqascii117o;an ascii117n-campaign,&rdqascii117o; a series of campaign stops made to look like they are anything bascii117t, in order to avoid the appearance that she is jascii117st trying to score political points. Harris-Perry saw it as the &ldqascii117o;reality TV version of a presidential campaign.&rdqascii117o; As for whether it will actascii117ally help her politically for a presidential rascii117n it is ascii117ncertain she will even make, Maher came to a blascii117nt conclascii117sion:
&ldqascii117o;I think anybody coascii117ld be president in this dascii117mb *****in coascii117ntry.&rdqascii117o;
