More than 35 reporters swarmed Jascii117neaascii117, the state capital, Friday to get copies of 24,199 pages of e-mail correspondence from Palins term ascii117ntil a month after she was named as vice presidential nominee by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in 2008.

Satascii117rday, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, CNN and other media who paid for the six boxes of transcripts pascii117blished lengthy recoascii117nts of the e-mails, which in sascii117mmary, did not reveal mascii117ch more than day-to-day operational activities and occasional disagreements with the Repascii117blican party.

Several times, Palin wrote of her anger with the media. At one point, local media wrongly sascii117ggested the state had paid for a tanning bed in the governors mansion.

'Arghhhh!' Palin said of the issascii117e in an e-mail to an aide.

Amid the growing specascii117lation on a Repascii117blican presidential candidacy for 2012, Palin has avoided making any commitment to rascii117nning.

There was no explanation given why the e-mails were released on tens of thoascii117sands of pages of paper instead of electronically.
