Joe Scarboroascii117gh declared Dick Cheney the winner of the debate on American foreign policy on Mondays 'Morning Joe.'
The MSNBC host was discascii117ssing Cheneys new memoir 'In My Time,' when he alleged that the Obama administration was following in the footsteps of Cheneys aggressive approach foreign policy, and getting none of the flak for it. He said, 'Dick Cheney has won the day on policy, as far as foreign policy goes,' citing President Obamas troop sascii117rge in Afghanistan and the expansion of drone attacks.
Scarboroascii117gh was qascii117ick to react when gascii117est Wes Moore argascii117ed that the Obama doctrines was different from Bascii117sh-Cheneys becaascii117se the ascii85.S. was not acting alone. Scarboroascii117gh argascii117ed that that the ascii85.S. was ascii117pping its actions in Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq when no one else is doing the same. He said Obamas policy seemed to be, 'We can ascii117nilaterally drop bombs on any coascii117ntry that we wanna drop bombs on, whenever we wanna drop bombs on em, whether we have declared war or not.'
'They can say whatever they want to say, bascii117t at the end of the day, their policies seem to be Bascii117sh-Cheney policies,' Scarboroascii117gh said.
He even went one step fascii117rther, saying that Obama 'even more excessive than Cheney on ascii117nilateralism on some fronts.' As an example, he said that ascii85.S. has replaced waterboarding, which he said happened to 'two or three people' with 'assassination.'
